ABAC Scholarships

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College has always prided itself on the support it offers students, ranking its scholarship program as a top institutional priority.

The Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Foundation, Inc. is a Georgia nonprofit corporation organized in 1954 for the sole purpose of supporting the aims and objectives of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.  The charter states, “…the Foundation was organized to advance the cause of education by generally establishing and implementing programs and activities for the promotion and assistance of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, a state-assisted educational institution, her faculty and students.”

Baldwin Scholars Scholarship

The Baldwin Scholars Scholarship is the highest level of scholarship awarded by the ABAC Foundation.  The Baldwin Scholars Scholarship was established by the ABAC Foundation Board of Trustees to recognize academic excellence among high school seniors and returning ABAC students as they continue their education at ABAC.  This scholarship is awarded based on academic excellence.

Tiered and General Scholarships

ABAC Foundation Tiered Scholarships (Stallion, Horizon, and Visionary) are awarded to incoming freshmen. The ABAC General Scholarship is awarded to transfer and returning ABAC students. These scholarships are awarded based on many criteria, including academic excellence, extra-curricular involvement, and leadership. Other awards take into consideration factors such as financial need and geographic location.

STEPS Scholarships

ABAC’s STEPS Student Engagement Scholarships are offered to students who participate in engaged learning experiences including but not limited to internships, mentored research, or study abroad.  The goal is to assist students in participating in experiences that will enhance their overall educational experience. Students are encouraged to complete the STEPS scholarship application at least 60 days prior to the start of their engaged learning experience.

ABAC is excited to announce the availability of Scholarship Universe, a new scholarship search and application platform.  Students will be able to apply for ABAC Foundation Scholarships and search for external scholarships on one scholarship application system.  We encourage students to search and apply for available scholarship options using Scholarship Universe.

Accepted students can access the scholarship application by logging in to their myABAC and searching for ABAC Scholarship Universe tool.  Once in Scholarship Universe, students can answer questions to be matched to the ABAC Foundation Scholarship and many external scholarships.  The ABAC Foundation Scholarships should be the first scholarship in the student’s scholarship matches. There is one scholarship application for all the ABAC Foundation Scholarships.  For the external scholarship matches, students must apply for each scholarship.

The priority deadline to apply for an ABAC Foundation Scholarship application is March 1.  NOTE: STEPS Scholarships have differing deadlines depending on the timing of the engaged learning activity.
