The extension division of the Fine Arts Department is a community centered learning venue of ABAC. It combines a warm and supportive atmosphere providing the community of Tift County and surrounding areas with outstanding Fine Arts education classes, and high-quality performance opportunities for pre-professional training, continuing education, and lifelong enjoyment.

Strings: violin, viola, cello and double bass

Woodwinds: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone

Brass: trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba

Other: piano, organ, percussion, guitar, voice

Applied lessons with ABAC faculty:

30-min: $240 per section as 8 classes total

60-min: $470 per section as 8 classes total

Applied lessons with student instructors:

Depending on the availability of ABAC music students.

Musicianship class: I, II, III, IV

Musicianship class introduces students the basic elements of music include theory, ear-training and sight singing, as well as a fundamental of music history. Class members will become acquainted with the fundamentals of analyzing and transcribing music. This course is a foundation for students who are interested in music.

50-min: $100 per section as 8 classes total

10-20 students per class

The Fine Arts Academy Summer Music Day Camp is an intensive five half-day musical experience that is designed to help children develop a life-long love of music. It offers students a place to grow musically in a fun and exciting learning environment that is the cornerstone of the younger members of our Tifton community and ABAC. In addition, Summer Music Campers have ample opportunity to socialize, develop relationships with other young musicians, and experience life on a great College campus. The ABAC Fine Arts Academy Summer Music Camp is open to students who have completed 1st - 6th grade.

Camp Activities

Campers will take part in vocal, instrument, art, and movement activities. Campers will sing, play instruments, do crafts, move to music, and learn the basics of reading and writing music. Campers will also have the opportunity to experience music and instruments from around the world.

The Fun Is Included

Instruments, music, and all other activity materials are provided. Daily snacks also are included, along with a special designed welcome camp T-Shirt.

Drawing What You See

An introduction to drawing from a still life. Students will learn to draw with charcoal and pencil.
