Academic and Student Affairs
Alan Kramer enjoys watching students connect with the institution and develop through ABAC's co-curricular and extracurricular engagement programs. He has twenty-nine years of progressively increasing responsibility in Higher Education with administrative, teaching, coaching, budgeting, management, and service experience. Dr. Kramer is a skilled facilitator of positive and diverse student engagement contributing to the holistic college experience. Coaching Experience
Alan Kramer coached either the men's, women's, or both tennis teams from September, 1993 through June, 2013. His career tennis head coaching record was 339-207 (148-97 Men; 191-110 Women). Coach Kramer's men's teams finished top 5 in Nation in 2002*, 2003*, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2009. His women teams finished top 5 in the Nation in 1996, 1997, 1999*, 2000, 2008, 2011. *2nd in the Nation. Dr. Kramer Coached 58 All-Americans (22 women; 36 men) and 7 Individual National Champions. Coach Kramer directed junior, high school, and college championship tournaments on campus including: United States Tennis Association, Georgia Independent Schools Association, Intercollegiate Tennis Association, and Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association State Championships. He also has worked as a summer camp Instructor for Krass College Exposure Academy at Lehigh University and Brown University. Coach Kramer has directed summer camps in Canadensis, PA and Portland, ME.
Director of Athletics
Alan Kramer directed the activities of a multi-faceted intercollegiate athletics program (baseball, softball, women's soccer, men's golf, men's tennis and women's tennis, men's and women's cross-country) from 2000-2022. He was responsible for the daily operational aspects including: departmental supervision and the development, coordination, implementation and administration of policies, programs, fundraising, community service and and projects. Dr. Kramer provided guidance and supervised department coaches and staff. He administered ABAC's athletic program under National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Constitution and Bylaws. Dr. Kramer supervised National Letter of Intent agreements, travel, purchasing, expense reports, and relative ABAC, University System of Georgia and NJCAA/GCAA compliance as well as medical student-athlete information. He also assisted with Athletic Hall of Fame (13th class was inducted in 2022).

Dr. Kramer is an Assistant Professor and has taught courses in Health & Wellness (online and traditional), Tennis, Personal Conditioning, Badminton, Field Experience, Intermediate Swimming, Adaptive Physical Education, Jogging, Walking, Archery, Golf, Varsity Sports 1 and 2, and Bowling.

Responsible for providing strategic leadership for all operational areas of ABAC's student affairs unit.
• Provides leadership and supervision for comprehensive student affairs planning and programming while achieving institutional goals. Leads the development of strategy, implementation, and operations for all student life programs to ensure a vibrant campus life that supports a strong commitment to student learning, as well as the personal growth of the College’s student body.
• Administers student activities, student organizations, student conduct, intramural/extramural activities, residential life services, and with the exception of intercollegiate athletics, administers all other programs pertaining to non-academic student life.
• Develops, monitors, and maintains effective student life processes and procedures.
• Maintains archive of the history, constitution, and by-laws of all student organizations.
• Oversees all student social activities, clubs, and student organizations.
• Oversees all residential life services and programming.
• Oversees all student conduct processes.
• Participates in the College’s strategic planning efforts, working with members of the College community (faculty, staff, and students) to establish both short-term and long- term goals and objectives for the Office of Student Affairs.
• Plans and implements systematic evaluations of all programs and projects lead by components of the Office of Student Affairs.
• Actively participates in system audits, as well as audits by federal or state authorities; prepares applicable federal and state reports.
• Oversees the allocation and expenditure of student activity fees within policies established by the Student Activity Fee Committee and approved by the President, as well as division spending and approves expenditures according to annual spending plans.
• Develops a student code of conduct and appropriate policies for the implementation and enforcement of disciplinary measures affecting students.
• Serves as a student advocate.
• Leads, coaches, and evaluates staff using proven and effective management techniques. Provides training and development opportunities for subordinates, as appropriate.
• Develops and implements user training programs, as necessary.
• Responds to campus emergencies and collaborates with emergency personnel, as necessary.
Dr. Kramer serves as Deputy Title IX Coordinator and assists w/ Everfi Sexual Assault/Alcoholedu student compliance. He assists with student activity requests via Coursedog. Dr. Kramer also serves as a resource contact for students, faculty, staff, and administration.
