About

The mission of Student Success is to support each student’s academic and professional journey in and out of the classroom through high-impact practices and experiences that foster academic success, retention, and timely degree completion. Additionally, Student Success supports the ABAC community by providing professional development support through educational workshops, learning presentations, forums, and proactive advising outreach.

Message from the AVP

Hi, Stallions! Student Success at ABAC is a campus-wide effort focused on providing each student with individualized support in and outside the classroom. We want to see you reach your academic and professional goals. The Student Success Team works tirelessly to ensure that every student is supported in their educational endeavors, well-being, career or graduate aspirations, and so much more. Our goals are simple—foster academic success and progression toward a degree while preparing the student for life beyond ABAC.

The Office of the Assistant Vice President for Student Success oversees the following teams that are here to support your Stallion journey:

College and life outside of college can be challenging; however, as a Stallion, our teams will walk with you every step of the way. Departments

The Office of Student Success is a collection of services designed to support students’ academic and professional journeys. These offices include Academic Support (Academic Support Counselors and the Testing Center), Accommodation & Disability Services, the Career Center, the Counseling Center, and the Tutoring Center.

Academic Support houses the Academic Support Counselors and the Testing Center to provide a wide range of educational and student support services and programs.

Accommodations & Disability Services
Accommodations

Accommodation & Disability Services provides students living with a disability equal opportunity to participate in ABAC programs, courses, and activities through reasonable accommodation services.

Career Center
Career Services

The ABAC Career Center provides students with the support necessary to explore, plan, and achieve their career or professional goals. Using a mix of in-person and online resources, all students have access to the tools necessary to craft a career in their intended field.

Counseling Center
Counseling Center

The Counseling Center provides individual counseling, group counseling, prevention and outreach, consultation, and crisis response across the ABAC Tifton and Bainbridge campuses.

Tutoring Center
Tutoring Center

Certified through the College Reading and Learning Association, the Tutoring Center employs peer tutors who meet specific qualifications and are then trained in tutoring skills; tutors can help with most courses taught at ABAC.

The CARE Team is a network comprised of members from the ABAC campus community, including you, who work together to promote a safe and thriving academic and residential environment.
