Janet L. Koposko
Assistant Professor of Psychology
School of Arts and Sciences
Janet Koposko earned her B.A. in general psychology and an aging specialist certificate from California University of Pennsylvania and earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in lifespan developmental psychology from Oklahoma State University. Her broad research area is successful aging and how people plan for retirement and life in old age. She is especially interested in investigating the role of future time perspective (the extent to which people find thinking about the future easy and enjoyable) among young adults as it relates to planning later on down the line. Research questions she works on include, "If you find thinking about the future to be easy, are you more likely to plan for life in old age?" "If you are more likely to plan, do you have a higher quality of life?" and "If you are future-oriented in one domain of life, does that mean you are future-oriented all other domains of your life, too, or can you be future-oriented in your financial planning but not in planning for your leisure time?" In her free time, Dr. Koposko enjoys baking, visiting state parks, and petting dogs.
Dr. Koposko teaches the following courses at ABAC:
