Registrar

The Office of the Registrar at ABAC is committed to quality service for our students from the first registration experience to the exciting day of graduation.

We develop and implement registration procedures, maintain student academic records, and review graduation applications, culminating in coordination of the commencement ceremony. The Office of the Registrar also maintains the academic catalogs. The Academic Catalog provides all the information students will need to plan their academic journey.

*Please have the high school or college send electronic transcripts directly to Registrar at registrar@abac.edu. Transcripts received from students, parents, or guardians are considered unofficial (unless homeschooled).

Transcript Request

Official transcripts must be ordered online. ABAC has contracted with Parchment (formerly Credentials Solutions) to manage all transcript orders.

DISCLAIMER: You are responsible for providing accurate email or postal mail addresses. Replacement transcript requests resulting from inaccurate mailing addresses are subject to the normal transcript fee. We are not responsible for mishandling by the U.S. Post Office or the receiving school or agency.

Note: In 2018, Bainbridge State College consolidated with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), creating a unified academic institution. As a result of this consolidation, former Bainbridge State College students can now request their transcripts through the ABAC website, utilizing the same process as ABAC students. When ordering transcripts, Bainbridge alumni should note that providing the ABAC ID field is not necessary. All other required information should be provided to ensure a smooth and efficient processing of their transcript request. This integration simplifies the process, ensuring that all students, past and present, have easy access to their academic records.

Transfer Credit

Students who wish to transfer to the College from other institutions are welcomed. Detailed in the Admissions section of the College Catalog, transfer students must provide the College with official academic transcripts from all former schools. All academic credit attempted at regionally accredited institutions will be reviewed by the College. The College retains the right to determine the amount of credit to be awarded. Credit awarded must be appropriately related to a student's educational program at the College. The College grants transfer credit for courses taken at regionally-accredited institutions. The College gives credit for technical colleges with SACSCOC accreditation. If students have completed the General Education core requirements at a University System of Georgia institution, they do not have to meet the College’s general education requirements as long as they maintain the same major in transfer. A change of major may affect areas of the core. Transfer courses will be assigned ABAC course numbers if the content and level are equivalent. For those core courses without an exact equivalent, the core course will be assigned a number based on the level of the class. All 1000-level will transfer as 1XXX, 2000 level as 2XXX, etc. Students transferring United States History (HIST 2111 or HIST 2112) or American Government (POLS 1101) from an institution outside Georgia must take a Georgia exemption exam. Detailed information is also available in the Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) credit sections of the College Catalog. Further, students may review the Residency Requirements for Graduation section of the College Catalog on the resident credit required at the College. Students may view specific transfer equivalencies from the Transfer Credit Equivalency link on the Registrar website. After acceptance to the College, students who have official transcripts submitted by former schools will view their academic transcripts in Banner Web to review the courses and credit hours accepted for transfer.

Open Records Act

“The purpose of the Open Records Act is both to encourage public access to information and to foster confidence in government through openness to the public.” Georgia law clearly provides that, except as otherwise specifically provided, “all public records … shall be open for a personal inspection by any citizen of this state at a reasonable time and place; and those in charge of such records shall not refuse this privilege to any citizen.”
