Second annual Bulls and Broncs Rodeo scheduled for October 19
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and the Southern Rodeo Company will host the second annual Bulls and Broncs Rodeo on Saturday, October 19.
”This event was such a success last year that we wanted to make it bigger and better this year,” said Allen Saylor, ABAC’s Assistant Vice President for Information Technology and Auxiliary Services. “ABAC is thrilled to be partnering with Southern Rodeo Company again for this event, so come on out and join us for a family fun night of exciting action with bull riding, bareback and saddle bronc riding.”
“This year we decided to plan the rodeo the same weekend as ABAC’s Family Day to offer students’ families something enjoyable to do while visiting their children while showcasing what ABAC is all about - agriculture,” said Amanda Dow, ABAC Venue and Event Coordinator.
There will also be food and vendors at the event, including ABAC's Stallion Shop, Oaks Creative Designs, Dairy Kingz, El Nopal and SnoBiz. ABAC’s Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity will grill hot dogs and hamburgers and there will be a mechanical bull for both kids and adults to ride.
The rodeo will begin at 6 p.m. at the ABAC rodeo arena. Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $15 for children ages four to 15, and children three and under may attend for free. Tickets can be purchased at www.abac.edu/rodeo. Tickets purchased for the rodeo’s previous date are still valid.
Individuals and businesses interested in sponsoring the Bulls and Broncs Rodeo may contact the ABAC Foundation at 229-391-4900.
