ABAC Bainbridge celebrates graduates at 2025 Spring Commencement

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College recognized the first biology bachelor’s degree graduates from the college’s Bainbridge campus during commencement exercises on May 9.  
 
“We were happy to host a graduation ceremony for the graduates of ABAC who completed their degrees in Bainbridge,” said Dr. Michael Kirkland, Executive Director of ABAC Bainbridge. “It’s always a nice capstone to the academic year to celebrate student accomplishments and share the moment with proud and supportive families and friends.  We are proud of our graduates.” 

Seven biology majors were awarded their degrees from the School of Arts and Sciences, making them the very first four-year graduates from the biology program, according to biology professor Tony Matthews. 

“We are beyond proud of our graduating class here at ABAC Bainbridge,” said Matthews. “We’re thrilled to have been a part of their educational experience and look forward to seeing them do great things in their future careers.” 

“This milestone is a testament to the perseverance of our students and the collaboration of the faculty between the Tifton and Bainbridge locations,” said ABAC President Tracy Brundage. “Their shared commitment made it possible for the students, surrounded by their loved ones, to be celebrated for their accomplishments.” 
 
Those students who participated in the ceremony were Sergio Garza Guerrero from Climax, Hannah Jo Gibson from Cairo, Darley Long from Bainbridge, Linda Moore from Climax, Magen Vaughn from Colquitt, Justin Williams from Pelham, and Ramsey Williams from Donalsonville. 
 
Degrees were also conferred from the School of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Stafford School of Business.   
 
Sarah Reece from Pelham graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing, and Emily Howell from Iron City graduated with an associate degree in General Studies. 

“The Bainbridge ceremony is more than a celebration of our graduates,” said Brundage. “It is a historic moment for ABAC Bainbridge.”
